Explanation:
I think '' to position'' means يتموضع أو يتخذ وضعية
so it could be منطقة التموضع أو منطقة اتخاذ الوضعية أو الوضع

with respect to everyone, I don't think it's تمركز as it doesn't have to be the centre. it's just a certain position agreed on by the team of pilots to take when for example saying ''position area'' or when giving an order ''to position''. By this each one of them knows which position to take but not necessarily to centralize.
