If this is a person's name, it does not have an equivalent in the Arabic, a la John = Haani' or Joseph = Yussef, etc.

If rendering "Erin" into an "Arabized" version, the spelling and pronunciation would vary per one's preference of where the stress should be placed.

Two possible variants are:

1. Stress/elongation on the first vowel, so that pronunciation = "AIR-in" (as in English "bear" or "hair")

2. Stress on second vowel; ergo:

"Eire" means "Ireland" in Irish.

Erin is an American name and should remain a name with an Arabic sound phonetically written "iriin"

Explanation:
Omar (that's also my son's name) is right about al-Mawrid English-Arabic dictionary stating that Erin being Ireland. I'd like, though, to see other 'sources,' since -I reiterate- it's not in the Webster's Unabridged. It's not even in Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary.

Writing the word all in capital letters may have misled me.

Explanation:
It is Ireland. According to Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary it is an ancient and now a poetic name for Ireland. In this case it seems better to tranliterate "erin" than use "ayrlanda", to keep the poetic form.
