I was going to fly yesterday. Explanation: The time adverb "yesterday" does not require "at." We use "at" to indicate time of day ("at noon," "at midnight," "at sunset," "at three o'clock," etc.). "I was to fly" is not wrong, but there are other constructions that may be a bit more idiomatic: I was going to fly... I was supposed to fly... Fuad |

Or I was supposed to fly yesterday evening (or:last night), but I was detained. Or I was supposed to (or: meant to) fly yesterday evening (or:last night), but something came up.
