I was looking for the term. After study, I personally go for جهاز منع الاندفاع/جهاز منع التدفق المفاجئ, but the translation جهاز منع الانفجار is more commonly used and the word انفجار is semantically valid here as it's said انفجَرَ الماء انفجاراً which can also applies to (petrol). OK, I don't disagree with you, I have seen the both of terms are used, but as blow-out literally means "an uprush of oil or gas from a well" I supposed is more exact translation. But if
مانع الانفجار
is used more widely, it's OK and I agree with you.
Hi Olga .. I have been working on oil rigs for over 12 years and I have never heard that مانع الاندفاع for the BOP ... it's actually الانفجار, as the well could explode ... so the مانع الانفجار is the precise translation. Please refer to the links I posted. Thank you for your comment
