ما يقابل التالي. وهما حدان في نسق يقتضي أن يكون أحدهما متقدما على الآخر منطقيا أو زمانيا. ومن أمثلة التلازم بين العلة والمعاول.
والمقدم في القضية الشرطية يطلق على الجزء الذي يعبر عن الشرط. مثل: إذا كانت الشمس طالعة. في القضية الآتية: إذا كانت الشمس طالعة فالنهار موجود.
