What kind of credibility can we have in the Christian community when issues like thisare exposed in the secular media? Are we going to say, Well, they do a lot of good, so they are entitled to all this earthly compensation? That is not correct thinking and does not fit with the new testament church whatsoever. If someone wants to sell books or clothes, or anything else in the marketplace, that is an entirely different issue. If they are taking donations for a certain cause, whether it be food, bibles, evangelizing in foreign countries, or any other Christian purpose and then the money is spent on lavish lifestyles as described above, I would describe that as a misappropriation of funds at best and a lying sin at worst.
