this is not "dowry" مهر as in these cultures it is the woman who brings the dowry. It is just a marriage present.

It came to my mind that we Arabs used to have a tradition bearing similarity to this one and which could be exploited in this context and that is: صندوق العرس you could ask your grandmother about it! |
