The night was alive with flashing lights and cameras. Rain still fell at a steady rate, but not like the earlier downpour driven by wind. The train crouched silent on the tracks in a feline pose, as if hovering over a kill.

Explanation:
The origin of feline as is known is related to the felus genus of animals to which belong the cat, tiger, etc. In this context, there is a metaphorical usage of the word which is used to describe whatever it is that poses like a tiger when preparing to attack its prey, therefore غادرة and ماكرة are also used since سنورية (the adjective for this family of animals) does not match the poetic context. :)

Explanation:
