هنا يتعلَّق الأمر بحوسبة بدون تنصيب برنامج على الحاسوب مثلاً أو بتشفير معلومات بدون تنصيب برنامج التشفير على الحاسوب
الغريب في الأمر أنَّ معظم المواقع الحاسوبية قد أبقت على الكلمة كما هي بالحرف اللاتيني
ولكن في الجامعة والبحث العلمي فإنَّ مصطلح تطبيقات بدون تنصيب شائع في هذه المجالات

I've seen the term translated as "صفر البصمة" but I'm not sure if this is widely used.

Examples include most web based applications such as Webmail. The term is often used for a new generation of mobile device applications which run entirely embedded within the existing application framework of the device, such as a web browser, Java (programming language) or a combination of the two.
