English to Arabic translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Transport / Transportation / Shipping / Bill of Lading | | English term or phrase: GP | "Demurrage for 15th day up to 24th day USD7.50/20GP"
This line is found in a bill of lading. This part discusses who shall pay for the discharge or reloading, etc. There will be 14-day free time (which i suppose is a period of time when the goods can stay at the port or on the vessel for free) but a demurrage will be collected afterwards as stated above. I cannot understand what GP stands for. it seems to me that it is a unit of measurement, because there are "20GP containers" for example, but i do not know what its expansion or translation are.
Could you help me with either?
