ما قولك فى مصطلح shuttle dipolmacy
والذى يطلق عليه الدبلوماسسية المكوكية، قد نحتاج أحيانا إلى بعض الإبتكار للتعبير عن شيء ليس مألوفا فى اللغة العربية وأعنى بذلك القطارالمكوكى أى رايح جاى!

دبلوماسية المكوك هى التعبير الشائع لوصف رحلات كيسنجر بين مصر وإسرائيل قبل توقيع معاهدة السلام وهذا هو التعبير الذى كان يستخدم فى جميع الصحف والإذاعات ونشرات الأخبارفى سبعينيات القرن الماضى. وما معنى قطار ذهاب وإياب! وهل يوجد قطار ذهاب فقط أو لا يتردد بين محطتين !

its not a spaceship
Asker: i know it is called a space shuttle, and it is translated in to Arabic as مكوك
However, saying that a train is قطار مكوكي that could mean that the train might launch into space! ... please try to avoid translating literally
Asker: you said it your self: (قد نحتاج أحيانا إلى بعض الإبتكار للتعبير عن شيء ليس مألوفا) and since it is something not very familiar, we should not make it even more unfamiliar and confusing when translated ... it should make sense to the reader and make his life easier, he should not be scratching his head. Therefore as you said (رايح جاي) which is قطار الذهاب والعودة .. i think it gives a little more sense to the reader compared to قطار مكوكي

"shuttle diplomacy" should never be translated as الدبلوماسية المكوكية ! which sounds very funny ... a better translation would be دبلوماسية الذهاب والإياب
