English to Armenian translations [PRO]
Medical - General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters / fevers
English term or phrase: fevers
Three fevers were known in Jesus' times: Malaria, something like typhoid and Malta disease.

Armenian translation:տենդ
Explanation:
Fever is translated as տենդ. Probably the author means that thee types of diseases were known in Jesus' times that provoked fever, because theses diseases are not fevers, but rather they provoke fever.

I am not sure, but I think I have come across the word in Western Armenian literature.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you, Hebnrik. Yes, the meaning is what you said. The author here is using the symptom (fever) as a generic classification of the diseases...

Asker: Sorry: I mispelled "Henrik".

Asker: I wonder if I can use this in Western Armenian or should I say "dakootyoon"...
