English term or phrase: The Big Dipper / The Plough
Hello / Barev,

What is the Armenian name for the constellation "The Big Dipper"? (Sometimes called "The Plough" in England).

Different cultures have different names for it. For example, the Rumanians call it carul mare ("the big ox cart"), some people in East Asia call it "The Seven Buddhas." To the Ancient Romans it was Ursa Major ("The Big Bear"). To the Cherokee Indians of North America it was also "The Big Bear" (Yonaegwa).

Thanks in advance for the help.

Sincerely,

Brian Costello
