I am not sure how the name of the church would be in Armenian. I think it is translated as վերափոխում (Russian успение). “Dormition” or “Dormition of the Theotokos” is the death of Mary. It is celebrated as the Feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God in Eastern Orthodox Church, which is similar to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Roman Catholic church.

I think you’d better use the Nominative form, i.e., Վերափոխումն եկեղեցի, because usually the Nominative is used with churches, e.g., Սուրբ Սարգիս եկեղեցի (rather than Սուրբ Սարգսի եկեղեցի). Regarding the correct translation of “dormition”, it’s really "Վերափոխումն" or “Վերափոխումն Սուրբ Աստվածածնի”.
