Is there a Belarusian word that shares a root with the Ukrainian and Polish broic/broit' meaning to play pranks or make mischief? If so, what would it be and are there dialectal variants of the word?

There is no such word with the same root. Maybe in some dialects, who knows...

Similar words I can think of are бруя (bruja - "a stream"), бруіць (bruić - "to stream", "to well out"), бруіцца (bruicca - "to stream", "to well out")

Assiolo references a well-known dictionary dated beginning of 20 century. It is useful nowaday as well, anyway the word in question doesn't seem to be well-known, maybe it's perceived archaic by those who know it.
