Bengali translation:jiggesh kora
Explanation:
In general,
jiggesh kora means to ask
prosno kora means to ask a question

prosno means question. What we ask? We always ask questions, right? But in Bengali whether we use jiggesh kora, prosno kora or prosno jiggesh kora all depends on the context.

For example, She amar nam jiggesh korechilo - She asked my name. In this case we can't tell that, she amar nam shomporke prosno jiggasha korechilo.

Another example: Teacher ekta prosno korechilen could be also told as Teacher ekta prosno jiggesh korechilen. But we can't tell that Teacher ekta jiggesh korechilen.

Actually we have to either mention the "Question itself" ("name" in the above example) or simply the word question (prosno) as a general term but not both of them together.

jiggesh is more colloquial and jiggasha is more formal. Both have the same meaning - to ask.

no difference at all

Explanation:
It depends on the person's choice. See examples:

সে একটি প্রশ্ন করল
she ekti prosno korlo

সে দু'টি প্রশ্ন করল
she duti prosno korlo

সে জিজ্ঞেস/জিজ্ঞাসা করল
she jiggasha korlo
(It is not possible to say she ekti/duti jiggasha korlo)

Notes to answerer
Asker: why is it not possible if there's no difference? and why can't we use ekti/duti with jiggesh (or jiggasha?)?
