Тези асфалти са общо препоръчвани като марки пътна настилка, за покриване на покриви, промивани с пропан (течен) и продухвани с въздух.
Самата технология на пътния битум включва, на първо място екстракция на остатъчната маслена фракция с течен пропан посредством процеса деасфалтизация, а след това рафинатът (асфалтът след екстракция с пропан) се продухва с въздух и се пълни с чакъл. Така се произвежда пътен битум.
