This is "Factory..." as in "Factory settings" or "Default settings"
It is used in the software option menu.

Current translation is "Подразбиращи се ... " but it's too long for the button (Cannot be resized)

What would be a shorter synonym or even abbreviation. (Max 8 Characters)

Besides the correct "по подразбиране" the following
заводски (factory) - фабрични (factory) - начални (initial)
may be used
настройки (settings) may be abbreviated to настр - наст - нстр - нст.

Explanation:
The user manual of my phone has a chapter entitled "Възстановяване на първоначалните настройки". I think this is a good proposal for the full phrase "Reset to factory defaults". If it can become clear from the context what "Възст." is - for example, if it is in a System section of the menu - then it is a viable choice as well.
