мащабиране; преобразуване


Explanation:
Понеже аналогово-цифровите преобразуватели (АЦП) работят най-добре в определен диапазон от напрежения, често се налага аналоговият сигнал от датчик да се приведе (мащабира, преобразува пропорционално) към този диапазон - било чрез редуциране или чрез усилване. Доста съвременни датчици могат да подават сигнал в различни диапазони по избор (scaled output).

Това е "мащабиране" (нарича се и rescaling) и се извършва на аналогово ниво, преди същинското аналогово-цифрово преобразуване.

В случая става дума именно за A/D преобразуване, защото сигналът от датчика е аналогов, а серийният интерфейс работи с цифров сигнал. Малко ме притеснява това *via* - защото серийният интерфейс не мащабира сигнал; но може би датчикът има вграден директен изход към сериен интерфейс, и него имат предвид?

Понякога обаче за scaling може да се каже и (най-общо) "преобразуване" - в смисъл пропорционално преобразуване на някакъв сигнал по стойност. Примерно - когато някакъв уред се превключва на различни обхвати, това по същността си е scaling на входящия сигнал.

SCALING THE ANALOG OUTPUT VIA THE SERIAL BUS
Serial communication settings
The analog output scaling can be done using the serial bus and computer with suitable terminal software. Connect the DMT242 to a serial bus via the RS-232 interface by using the following settings: Baud rate: 2400, Parity: none, Data bits: 8, Stop bits: 1. The serial cable (DMT242RS) can be ordered from Vaisala.
Scaling of the dewpoinT output
Scale the dewpoint parameter by giving the command ascl xx yy<ENTER> where xx = the low limit (°C or °F) and yy = the high limit (°C or °F). Hie factory setting for serial measurement unit is Centigrade (°C). To change the unit for Fahrenheit (°F) use command unit xx <ENTER> where xx = n for non-metric (°F) and xx = m for metric (°C) units.
