Този тест си има две имена

Finger Tapping Test (FTT)
Also called Finger Oscillation Test (FOT)

Subjects are given multiple 10-second trials on a manual tapping device using the index finger of the dominant and non-dominant hand. The test is a measure of motor speed and manual dexerity.

Първоначално е бил наречен Finger Oscillation Test. Сега като че ли е по-известен като Finger Tapping Test.

В англо-руския психиатричен речник http://www.psyobsor.org/cgi-bin/gloss/search.pl?qs=tapping t...

го превеждат като "Пальцевой теппинг-тест". Може да се окаже, че и в българската психиатрия е възприет термина "теппинг-тест", но няма как да го проверя. Бих предложила "тест за скорост на пръстите", защото се проверява точно това - tapping speed, а тази скорост може да намалее не само поради наличието тремор, а и под влиянето на други фактори, някои от които психични.
