The DURALOC® and S-ROM POLY-DIAL® Constrained Acetabular Liners (or inserts) are devices with several components. The components include constrained acetabular liners, constraining/reinforcing rings, and peripheral bone screws (S-ROM POLY-DIAL only). The hollow spherical constrained acetabular liners, compressed of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), fits into the metal acetabular shell and articulates with the spherical metal femoral heads of total hip replacement systems (28mm and 32mm).

Asker: Благодаря, изглежда става дума точно за "фиксирана ацетабуларна вложка", която не позволява на протезата да се размества, но дали „вложка” е терминът който се използва?

ямка <--> ябълка (на бедрената кост) - това са популярните названия... В ямката се поставя вложка, която не позволява разместване на бедрената кост или фиксира (застопорява, ограничава) ябълката в определено положение. Нещо като вложка на шарнирната ябълка при автомобилите, за да няма изместване на кормилните щанги (бедрената кост)... ;-)

klyunchev: Според мен е точно обратното. Протезата трябва да осигурява свободно движение на изкуствената ябълка и съответно бедрената кост. Т. е. тя замества тазобедрената става. Целта е движение, не обездвижване. Сега схванах идеята.

-> Недвусмислен отговор 8-)... И според мен е така ;-).. Имам пред вид избягване на разместването на ябълката в ямката, т.е. артикулацията на протезата в "новата" ямка. Като "риза на цилиндър" - буталото е подвижно в нова среда, работи без да "бие".
