Според мен е въпрос на личен избор на преводача. И двата варианта - Гранд Каньон и Големият Каньон са срещани в българските преводи.
Колкото до забележката на колегата за произношението, този Grand Canyon е един и местоположението му е добре известно ;-))

Explanation:
По принцип не се превежда, но каньоните има доста много и затова трябва да казваме "гран", ако е френски или, например, квебекски в Канада, или "гранд" ако е английски или щатски.
