Don't you think "fundamental" is a strong and serious word in describing "myth" as a "谎言" or "鬼话?"
The reason why "迷思" (as a transliterated term) is widely used is exactly for its flexibility in describing serious subjects as Mr. Chang mentioned as well as some "tongue-in-the-cheek" daily things such as 防曬迷思, 名校迷思, 泡麵迷思, 化妝品的迷思, 一般人的迷思, 名牌迷思 (search results from Yahoo).
I don't think these things can be used well in combination with "误区" or "谎言." ( 防曬误区; 名牌误区; 泡麵误区; 一般人的谎言; 名牌谎言) |
