Does "divided into" equal to "divied by" in the above context?

这句有两种可能的理解，一种是想说在两种类型中数据都先被解离成不同听原始数据（包括受季节影响的数据和不受季节影响的“调整”数据），另一种理解是“divided into”是“divided from”的误写（注意后面括号中在加法模型是是减去，好就是说在乘法模型中是除去）。
我觉得看看上下文，应该就是这个意思。翻译时调整一下表达方式译为：
（第一句略）。对于两种类型，在季节性调整过程之初都先除去（在加法模型中是减去）不受季节性调整影响的数据（，只留下参与季节性调整的原始数据）。当采用临时前期调整时，这些数据会在整个...过程的最后再乘回来（在加法模型中是加回来）。
仅是一种我觉得可以说得比较顺的译法，仅供参考。

Both types are divided into the original data，还有一种可能理解，就是我上文中翻译时实际采用的，就是“先除去不受季节性调整影响的数据，留下参与季节性调整的原始数据”。所以divided into the original data在字面上能说得通，就是通过除去（不受影响的数据）而留下（需参与季节性调整模型的）原始数据。

关于你的疑问，我上面回答时其实都已经讲了（分成三种方式进行理解）。总之，我觉得不管怎么表达，实际的情况只有一种：
1）乘法模型：
a) 先除去不受季节性模型（注意这里的乘法模型和季节性模型是两个意义上的模型，不是指一样东西）影响的调整数据(所以分离走的方式是数学上的“除”)，留下受季节性模型制约的“数据”，文中的“原始”可能是这个意思，不过原始有没有不影响我们对流程的理解
b)按“季节性模型”进行相关分析处理
c) 在上一步处理完成后，将第一步中除走的数据再乘回来。
2）加法模型，将第一步的除走改成减去，第三步的乘回改成加回。其它一样。
之所以这句让人有疑问，我觉得是原文作者写divide into original data这部分时自己没写好，并非有什么特别的语言表达方式我们没有理解好。这也正常，译者有时会翻译，经济学研究人员写东西当时也可时会有表达不当的时候。
