sensory does not describe motor. It actually refers to<B><U> sensory skill 感知技能 - motor skill 动作技能</B></U>. Sensory skill is ability to perceive or interpret what we touch, hear, see, smell & taste and then based on what we sense, we initiate the proper action (motor skill). It may also be called <B><U>sensory based motor skill </B></U>.

嗯, "覺知中樞傳動統合" 的確很拗口, 但我 sensory 是一個 adjective, 它的解釋 "connected with the physical senses of touch, smell, taste, hearing and seeing" http://dictionary.cambridge.org/define.asp?key=71812&dict=CALD. 因此, 把它譯成 "感覺", 似乎不妥.
我剛才問過外國朋友, 她對sensory motor 的解釋是 "the sensory side of the nervous system is that concerned with receiving external input (touch, sight, sound etc) and carrying the messages to the brain to be processed. The motor side includes the nerves and muscles that carry out actions in response to those messages." 因此, 我覺得motor, 是 "傳達動作".

您的看法是對的，
雖然网上使用感覺動作統合頗多，但我覺得初次見到感覺動作統合的中文讀者，應該完全無法理解這個辭的意義。
我之所以用肌肉，是因為基本上，經由肌肉纖維與神經纖維交互作用，才會產生動作。动作算是比較末端呈現的結果，而sensory-motor integration 算是在动作的上一層，也就是动作未產生之前的程序。
但，您說的沒錯，我把它譯成肌肉的確不妥。

motor: relating to muscles that produce movement; or relating to the nerves and parts of the brain that control these muscles.
若以這個解釋看來，motor 是：(1)和產生動作的肌肉有關的，或是(2)和神經及大腦中控制肌肉的部份有關的。
因此，綜合(1)&(2)，也許可以說，motor是與運动傳導有關的，it can be "motor skill", "motor function", "motor development", motor what ever.
也許，譯成动作並不妥，但我譯成肌肉，也是不對。呵呵。
