English term or phrase: The happy children throw a green ball. Susan never washes her car.
I'm helping some high school kids who are interested in Chinese and I would like to show them some of the differences in sentence structure. If you could translate these and tell me what each symbol represents that would be great.

Chinese translation:幸福的孩子们扔一个绿球。Susan从(来)不洗她的车
Explanation:
Having know the situation, I'd like to help. The titled translation is a little more literal but better to show you the differences in sentence pattern.

1) The happy children throw a green ball: The same sentence order between Zh and En. the happy children = (the, no meaning in Chinese) 幸福的 孩子们; throw = 扔 a green ball= 一个 绿(色的) 球 .=。

2) Susan never washes her car. The same in terms of order: Susan=Susan, name, or 苏珊 of phonetic trans; never=从不/从来不; washes=洗; her car=她的 车

Hope everything has been clear for now. Should you have further questions, please go ahead to ask.
