disagree  H. J. Zhang: 呵呵，这回不太赞同，从of结构看，理解成visit站不住脚，否则就该是to一类, of表从属。另外，从相关链接可以看出，这次考察其实还有待进行，所以last做此理解也不通。至于所说河段，确实属于金沙江，在丽江境内，但金沙江不止这一段，也有很多不弯的河段，这里Great Bend当指长江的大湾，还是认为指金沙江那段“长江第一湾”，去虎跳峡都会经过。另外，呵呵，至少就我所见，这段河流并不“波澜壮阔”，事实上，总的都比较平缓，直到虎跳峡那三跳才水势急起来。

  -> 谢谢兄弟提出意见。不过descent虽可作visit解，但后面介词用法不尽相同。上面第二个链接中有很多处提到descent，用法与此类似。而last是站在4月16的角度来说的。他们4月份前两周要去考察，16号就要展示图片，自然是新鲜出炉，当然也是刚刚过去。至于“波澜壮阔”，我确未亲眼目睹，但引用的原文有whitewater runs，想来用该词来描述也不算过分。不过great bend指长江第一湾倒是有道理，不过两周时间应该能漂流很长距离的。
