I'm doing a translation project for Kaiser, and find this term difficult to understand, since I am mainland-based and don't have much background knowledge of US insurance. I'll be extremely grateful if you can give me some ideas on this term, and the whole sentence is as following:
Since you were enrolled in your current plan on that day, you have grandfathered coverage under the health reform law.
