English to Chinese translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Investment / Securities / Fund Management | | English term or phrase: have all the boxes lined up | This phrase is from a promotional brochure of a fund management company. How should I translate this sentence "you've got to have all the boxes lined up, and it's not often that all the boxes you can tick do line up. " It sounds like "having everything ready or arranged", is my understanding correct? Or this is a special term or a metaphor.
Please see below for the context:
We've really geared the fund and selected the people very carefully to fit the world economy. When you go into it, (in) the world economy, you've got to have all the boxes lined up, and it's not often that all the boxes you can tick do line up.
Right now they're lined up for the benefit of the fund, and we probably have a year to two years, or maybe even three, to take a massive benefit out of the market, while we're waiting for the world to catch up with Australia.
Many thanks |

| | Chinese translation:Agree with you | Explanation: As far as I know, "have all the boxes lined up" means to get everything arranged for a certain purpose. Here you can translate it into:
对所有资金做合理安排,
进行合理投资,
等待收益。 |
