Pkchan和rushidao的理解都有道理。此处的twist应该是说老莎的生活错综复杂、扑朔迷离，什么样的说法都有，就象一团乱麻交织在一起。近年来，有人以另类角度研究老莎，据说还很有成就，引起不少人的兴趣。如老莎是虚构人物，作品是别人伪托的，就象中国古代很多作品那样；老莎不仅是人们一直所认为的文学巨匠，而且老莎有艳情史、老莎是隐藏在人民群众中为国王服务的特务、老莎杀人不眨眼而且逍遥法外，等等。因此，有关老莎生活揭密的作品也不断问世，上面的“小说”就是一例，其作者也算得上这方面的行家了，就靠这个吃饭了。

非常感谢各位的帮助，尤其谢谢rushidao的详细解释。我觉得“a new novel with a Shakespeare twist ”应该就是“the new novel has many twists similar to those in Shakespeare plays" 吧？

from the life of Shakespeare, 3. the story has many twists. So 劇情峰徊路轉 doesn't seem to do justice to "Shakespeare twist". Also, since this book is not a straight forward portrayal of Shakespeare's life, it may not be accurate to label it "描寫莎翁生平的新小說"

觉得indulging 的意味没翻译出来，而且不太明白Shakespeare twist 这个短语的意思。
