Shaunna, if 'abortion' is involved. The manufacturer can simply put on a label saying 'If you are not expecting a child, take the medicine wherever and whenever you like'. Or, 'I you are playing safe, take the medicine as you please'.
I see your point, Shaunna. But you see, if "用藥期間您不應該 get pregnant" should be translated "用藥期間您不應該懷孕", why should "father a child" be translated otherwise? If it is to be specific, then the whole sentence should be specific from the point of view of a female. Anyway, the solution could be to put a "生子" behind "懷孕或使人受孕." That would be "懷孕不墮胎或使人懷孕不墮胎."
Yes, Martin, for Medical instructions we have to be detail specific.
I was thinkng about 生育because I thought if a man gets a woman pregranant, but then they don't keep the fetus (abortion), then it is not "father a child", so we have to somehow specify the problem is not just getting someone pregnant but also getting a child out of it. 我是不是钻了牛角尖？
