|English term or phrase: Hi Winnie Wong|
|Hi Winnie, |
Thankyou so much for the lunch today. I really enjoyed it. I also want to wish you a happy and healthy new year.
你好，王蔚旎！ 非常感谢你今日午餐款待， 我确实过得很开心。同时，我衷心祝福你在新的一年里，精神愉快，
This is a bread-and-butter letter, with a formula similar with that in a Chinese note for expressing gratitute of this kind. There is only one thing I want to explain on my translation, that is, the last sentence. I added "衷心”while there is no equivalent in English in the note. It is because I think it is customary for a Chinese to add such a word before "祝福”.In this way, the translated letter reads more smoothly.
