The iron leaves a ***shine*** or an imprint on the garment.
The surface to be ironed was uneven, for instance because you were ironing over a seam or a fold in the garment.
The ***shine*** or imprint is not permanent and will come off if you wash the garment. Avoid ironing over seams or folds or you can place a cotton cloth over the area to be ironed to avoid imprints at seams and folds.

Explanation:
1）熨烫后，衣服起亮或出现印痕；
或2）熨烫后，衣服出现亮斑或印痕。

巧的很，我家和服装打交道的多，我也经常熨烫衣服，对于布料稍后的衣服，在接缝处、凸起处来回熨烫后，这个部位会起亮，或者有印痕。特别是底部是铁面的熨斗更容易出现这个亮斑。蒸汽熨斗一般不会出现亮斑。我们一般说“衣服起亮了”。一般为避免起亮，我们常用平整的布盖在这个要熨烫的凸起部位，并在布上散点水，这样下面的衣服会容易熨烫平整而且不会起亮；如果不用一块布放在上面，即熨斗直接接触衣服面料的话，熨烫时要当心，应避免起亮，起亮说明熨烫有点过头；
建议 ivaniu 自己试下熨烫马上就知道了。不过夏天的衣服薄，除非在接缝处来回熨烫，否则一般不太会起亮的。

另外：如果家里有黑色或蓝色的西服，不盖块布熨烫的话，领子和袖口起亮会特别明显，因此如果在洗衣店内洗过的衣服回来发现这些地方发亮，下次还是换家洗衣店好了。
