对句子结构敏感一点，会察觉 “that's what they call a double whammy” 是核心，而“in Danny's neck of the woods” 起修饰作用，表where. 这里的where即指有关Danny 的事情，Danny这案子。换句话说，Danny这件事，出现状况也是两个一起来的，不会one at a time. 因此，double whammy 是人们给这种情况冠以的名称，并不是说一定是danny的。中文的习惯一定要说明这个“祸”是对谁而言的，因此曾加了一个说明性短语“对法官来说”。请注意我后来添加的note。
“旧案”是根据故事和上下文，为了使中文更明白而添加的。这里的旧案指最初Craig诬陷Danny犯罪入狱的案子，也是法官此次极力想忽略和逃避的，因为他不想推翻当初的原判（即Danny有罪）。 |
