English to Chinese translations [PRO] Art/Literary - Religion / Christianity | | English term or phrase: To be one of us | This is a phrase in a christmas invitation card:
"Jesus came to be one of us,
We hope you too could come and be one of us."
"Jesus came to be one of us", means as a God, Jesus became flesh to become like human being, (came down from heaven as God the Son and was born as a human being on Christmas night), to become like anyone of us, with human desires, apetites and basic needs, to be ONE OF US.
And "you too could be one of us" is actually using the "one of us" as a repetition to invite others to come and join the celebration and fellowship--a group of people who receive the gift of salvation.
How to translate this short, catchy phrase into good chinese that also uses repetition? |
