差点和差点指数

　　那到底什么是差点(handicap)？通俗的说，就是高尔夫球手打球的水平与标准杆之间的差距，例如您的水平一般在85杆，标准杆是72杆，所以差点就是13。

　　差点是一个整数，但是通常我们所说的球员的差点，准确的说应该是差点指数(handicap index)，差点指数，根据USGA的定义，是一个测量高尔夫球员在一个标准难度的球场潜在的成绩能力的数值，差点指数有一位小数。差点指数让球员在各个难度不同球场转换为对应差点。

　　所以，高尔夫球员真正在一段时间可以固定的是差点指数，而不是差点，根据差点指数，在打不同难度的球场的时候，就会获得不同的差点。
