The Community Gateway Association (also known as CGA or the Gateway for short) is a community business that was set up to meet the housing needs of people in Preston and the surrounding areas. The CGA is a housing association, providing high quality homes for people in need.

But it's more than that. The Gateway is also about creating friendly communities, where people want to live. Research shows that people often rate a friendly neighbourhood higher than transport links, access to shops and even low crime.

The CGA was the first housing association in England to be set up as a 'community gateway'.
