To je zapravo ono što kod zvčnika i slušalica zovemo "volume". Pojačava se kad je izvor zvuka kojeg želimo snimiti slab, a smanjujemo ga kod preglasnog izvora ili kako bismo izbjegli pojavu mikrofonije (odjeka)
