Nives, osobno ne bih koristila 'izgaranje'. Ne trebate se ustručavati upotrijebiti izraz 'burnout sindrom'. Godinama prevodim tekstove s područja psihosocijalne onkologije i palijativne skrbi i sasvim pouzdano tvrdim da struka koristi upravo 'burnout sindrom'.

Asker: Karen, hvala na pomoći oko rasvjetljavanja ove rečenice. Zaista ne pamtim kad me je neka rečenica ovoliko zabavila. "Unatoč entuzijazmu i predanosti osoblja kriznih centara, mnogi stručnjaci u polju rada izrazili su alarmiranost zbog osipanja ljudi koji rade na terenu, te zbog potencijala za izgaranje kod onih koji ostaju." tako sam sad stavila

Asker: jednako je vrijedna i hrvatska inačica "izgaranje" - to sam vidjela u svom radu u ovoj tematici, a može se pronaći i na internetu. Osobno sam uvijek za što manje anglicizama u prijevodima.

agree  Karen Ordanic: U ovom slučaju, attrition je: gradual diminution in number because of constant stress. Znači, mnogi stručnjaci koji rade na terenu napuštaju to zaposlenje zbog stresa, a kod onih koji ostanu postoji mogućnost pojave burnout sindroma.
