Tech/Engineering - Aerospace / Aviation / Space | | English term or phrase: bevel box | Pailton Engineering manufacture 90° bevel boxes which are available with 1x66, 1x79, 19.05x48 and 22.23x48 shaft serrations in any combination. Other specifications such as 9 tooth, 12 tooth or 20 tooth are also available . Chassis mounting or floor mounting can be achieved by the either cross holes or tapped holes on any of the four standard designs available . Different customer requirements can be accomodated and the bevel box is available seperately or built into a steering column assembly.
Double lip shaft seals and a steel level plug give robust, leak-free operation whilst the large diameter bearings and alloy steel gears ensure life of the vehicle endurance. The bevel boxes are normally pre-filled with ATF oil for all climate operation. |
