Jedná se o úpravu vlastností asfaltu po destilaci ropy, kdy se asfalt probublává za určité teploty vzduchem s cílem změnit poněkud složení směsi uhlovodíků. Tedy jde v podstatě o provzdušněný asfalt, ale odborně se tento pojem nepoužívá.
