The address for the registered agent must be a street address and not a Post Office box. An “in care of” address is also not acceptable. The address doesn’t have to be the location where business operations are actually conducted, but it should be an office or location capable of receiving legal documents during regular business hours. Attorneys and companies that provide resident agent services may refuse to accept routine mailings and shipments to an LLC that are not of a legal nature. |
