English term or phrase:So rude not to, really
Can anyone help me with this phrase, please? Either there must be something missing, or it is a phraseologism, because I have no idea what it means:) Thank you for all suggestions in advance!
Context:
...try being a vegan this week. At the very least, your diet will be just about 100% good for you....
How’s that vegan thing going for you? Here’s a vegan recipe. It’s for a cake. So rude not to, really.
Vycházím z hypotézy, že se jedná o ustálené slovní spojení, které tudíž
1/ je třeba chápat jako (invariantní) celek - tzn. se v různých kontextech překládá stejně,
2/ jeho význam může být mírně posunutý oproti někdějšímu pravýznamu z nějž vzešel (známý etymologický jev).
Přijde mi, že "byl by hřích/škoda toho nevyužít" krásně sedí i do našeho kontextu. Kdyby tam chtěl někdo slyšet ten význam "rude", tak by to šlo říci i takhle "jen blbec/ignorant/nevzdělanec/prosťáček by toho (=takhle výhodné situace) nevyužil":) "Rude" může být někdo hrubý a neurvalý, ale příčinou téhle hrubosti je především jeho nevzdělanost/ignorantsví/buranství, mrkněte na všechny významy.
Ale je to zatím stále hypotéza, zatím jsem to spojení v žádných netových slovnících idiomů nenašel. Kdybyste měl někdo výskyt, kam navrhovaný idiom nepasuje, tak by mě to zajímalo. Díky.
Přátelé,taky jsem rešeršoval to sousloví "so rude not to, really" a položil si otázku, jakým č. souslovím by šly přeložit VŠECHNY VÝSKYTY STEJNĚ. A vychází mi, že všude sedí běžné české sousloví:
"byl by hřích toho nevyužít" / "byla by ((opravdu) velká) škoda toho nevyužít"
jen pár příkladů (A, B =postavy v příp. dialogu):
