English term or phrase: buccal uprooting
This arch form is especially practical for patients with broad natural arch forms. It can also be applied
early in treatment in cases that require buccal uprooting of the lower posterior segments and upper arch expansion. If overexpansion occurs, it is possible to change to the Ovoid arch forms later in treatment.
