English term or phrase: do not wedge drive the drift pin
Slotted Hole: Drift key is inserted at this opening should the telescope stem "lock-up" within the 50 cal or 40mm adapter.
NOTE: Do not wedge drive the drift pin to remove the stem from the adapter - use the drift key as a lever only prying or jiggling action is required. Wedge driving the drift pin can cause damage to the 7.62mm spring loaded fingers.
