English term or phrase: bottle a tackle
United demolished the 'Boro with embarrassing ease. This was a performance right out of the top drawer, and I don't remember one man in a black and white shirt bottle a tackle all evening. It was fantastic entertainment, reminiscent of the Keegan years.

agree  lingua chick: This is absolutely right! The verb "to bottle" means "to restrain/hold back/arrest/pull back" etc. and, therefore, Radovan's "zastavit útok" is correct.
