English to Danish translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Accounting | | English term or phrase: adjusted operating profit | From a financial summary:
"Adjusted operating profit increased by £x.x million to £xx.x million due to advances in both the UK and continental Europe."
The first time the term appears in the text there's a footnote added saying "*before exceptional charge of £x.xm"
I think this would be the same as "Resultat af primær drift" in Danish, but I am not 100 % sure and would appreciate some feedback on this.
I found this definition online:
"Operating profit adjusted to exclude amortisation and exceptional items." (http://www.imperial-tobacco.com/files/financial/reports/ar20... |

| | justeret driftsresultat | Explanation: "operating profit" is the result from the main business of the company, and your translation "resultat af primær drift" is definitely one version that could be used. "driftsoverskud" and "driftsindtjening" would also be valid.
Obviously you just need to add the "justeret" in front of it. Without knowing what it has been adjusted for, that would probably be the most appropriate translation. |

Asker: Thanks for your comment. I also thought of "justeret driftsresultat", but that only gives 31 hits on Google and I assume there should be another more used term for this.
