disagree  Sven Petersson: Please see my answer! - Addendum: Your explanation of what "UL" stands for is correct. It is not the task of the translator (=Susse) to modify the specification, she should ask/request her customer to do the localization of the specification.

  -> Du har ret i, at man bør tilrette indholdet i forhold til den danske læser/bruger, men mon ikke Susse først og fremmest var ude efter en forklaring af, hvad UL står for, så hun selv kan vurdere, hvordan det bør lokaliseres? Addendum: Isn't that obvious?!?

Localize!


Explanation:
It is meaningless (and ridiculous) to require the use of UL listed extension materials in Europe. Such materials must meet EU standards in Europe, not UL! Contact your customer and request them to localize the technical specification.

UL er som Susanne har beskrevet og derfor fik hun min "agree". Hvis firmaets ledning har fået en dansk mærkning, så der det muligvis en CE fra sikkerhedsstyrelsen (SKS) - men det skal du først spørge firmaet om - se http://www.sik.dk/Professionelle/Produktsikkerhed/Maerkning/...
