Selv om det er med bindestreg i de to links, jeg har sat ind, vil jeg mene, det er mere korrekt dansk at skrive det uden bindestreg, dvs. "aortoostial".
Aortopulmonal, aortografi m.fl. skrives også i ét ord.

Ifølge Retskrivningsordbogen kan sammensætninger med usædvanlige eller svært læselige ord- og bogstavsammenstød kan for tydelighedens skyld skrives med bindestreg, så i dette tilfælde er det valgfrit, om man vil bruge bindestreg. |
