supporting publication støtteavis Explanation: Avis or støtteavis Publications come out at irregular intervals from our local authority to inform residents and tourists about this and that - they are usually called 'aviser', because they look like newspapers. Other advertisers issue occasional 'aviser' - "Tag gerne denne avis med hjem!" when they run special offers etc. I have also seen and bought a sort of magazine in aid of local youth work. This is on stronger paper, and is called a 'hæfte' (julehæfte). I think I have seen 'støttehæfte' printed on them too. If the 'publication' is to guide the visitor round the fair, introduce exhibitors and describe events, I would be strongly tempted just to call it a 'katalog' "Support publication' sounds very 'globalese' and not particularly English to me! So in theory you are free to invent something just as woolly in Danish, but it would not be very satisfactory. Held og lykke! |
